We are just one week away from the 60th Toronto Outdoor Art Fair and our community is buzzing!
To add to the excitement, we’d like to announce the addition of a very special award to TOAF's already robust Awards program — The Emerging Curator Award!
This award is generously sponsored by the Lindy Green Family Foundation in celebration of our 60th Anniversary. The recipient receives $1,500 and will be paired with a professional curator and mentor to curate online and in-gallery exhibitions from selected TOAF60 artists. The Lindy Green Family Foundation is also thrilled to recognize Flavio Belli, as this year’s mentor.
Renowned for his lifelong contribution to the arts in Toronto, Flavio will select the emerging curator and work with them. It is also a great pleasure to announce the return of the Propeller Gallery Emerging Artist Award, which gives the selected curator an opportunity to develop their exhibition from the Fair’s emerging artists and will provide public gallery space for the exhibition in January 2022.
We are grateful to have this opportunity to celebrate Flavio’s many contributions to TOAF — most recently in 60 Over Sixty — with an award that reflects his generous spirit of sharing knowledge and making a difference.

I am so grateful to the Lindy Green Family Foundation to be named this year’s mentor. Creating art, producing exhibitions, bringing people together, and collecting art is my life’s passion and joy. It’s an honour to be rewarded for something that brings me such fulfillment, and it is a privilege to be recognized by a Foundation that contributes so much to this city’s cultural landscape. I look forward to working with the award recipient and their selected artists because as civil rights activist Angela Davis said, ‘The most important learning I do at this age in my life is learning from young people.’
