Canada’s leading contemporary outdoor and online art fair

TOAF will take place July 12 – 14, 2024.

Day 9 of #TOAF59 – Congratulations to our 2020 winners!

Catherine Bratty Award for Best of Fair Winner: Julien Kandolo, 'Umbrella', 2020, acrylic, spray, collage on canvas

Dear Friend of TOAF,

Thank you so much to those who joined us on Instagram Live for our awards ceremony yesterday! We are so pleased to award $20,000 worth of cash and in-kind awards to our exceptional TOAF artists. We were chuffed to see a few of our award winners and judges who joined our live announcement. If you missed it, you can watch it in full through our InstagramTV as well as a video of Best of Fair Winner, Julien Kandolo!

We thank all of our judges for their time and care to look at all 3,000+ artworks on our digital platform to pick the artists who demonstrated excellence, innovation, and craftsmanship in their works.

Congratulations to all of these incredible artists! Don't miss out on your chance to see all their award-winning art online. There's still time to browse and support artists on torontooutdoor.art.

Part of what made this online adaptation so rewarding and inspiring for us was the prompt eagerness of the community to collaborate and work together to provide exemplary programming. Our work with community partners helped us prove that the only way through this difficult time in history is to work together. We write this, still with lumps in our throats, at the heels of our inspiring Art Talk with the members of the Mayor's External Advisory for the Year of Public Art, moderated by TOAF59 juror and co-curator of ArtSpin. If you missed it, not to worry. We will be adding it to our Youtube channel as soon as possible. And speaking of community partners, today, we also bring you the exciting curated collection by Art Toronto's Director, Mia Nielsen, who has shared with us abstract works that have caught her eye from this year's roster. Enjoy more art below.
