How long have you been with TOAF?

This is my 4th TOAF since 2016 and still loving it!

Your favourite artist or designer?

At the moment totally obsessed with the thought process of Ken Nicol – just got may hands on one his pieces and I am thrilled!

Favourite spot in Toronto?

A tiny soulful park in my neighbourhood

If I could only bring one item with me to the Fair, it would be…

Several ice cold bottles of water!

What are you most excited about for TOAF19?

First and foremost our artists and how their energy and creativity transforms Nathan Phillips Square. I am also jazzed about our diverse programming and how it offers something for everyone.  And as always touched by the spirit of our invested and passionate team who work with such limited resources to bring this massive event to life!

Ania Harmata, Artist Relations Coordinator

How long have you been with TOAF?
About 2 and a half years, but this will be my third fair.

Your favourite artist or designer?
HARD QUESTION considering I get to know so many talented artists throughout the year.

Favourite spot in Toronto?
401 Richmond, particularly the rooftop garden!

If I could only bring one item with me to the Fair, it would be…
A hydration backpack… ???? (and comfortable shoes)

What are you most excited about for TOAF19?
Getting to meet so many artists in person + growing my art collection

Tammy Yiu Coyne, Communications Manager

How long have you been with TOAF?

This is my first year with the team, though we first collaborated together in 2018 for the Partial Lounge.

Favourite spot in Toronto?

I would be happy to stroll through High Park or sip wine at Uncle Mikey's any day of the week.

If I could only bring one item with me to the Fair, it would be…

My cell phone – to capture all the action.

What are you most excited about for TOAF19?

The programming – it's going to be a wicked one!

Farah Altoumah, Communications Volunteer + Programming Liaison

How long have you been with TOAF?

I've been volunteering since October 2018, so it has been almost 8 months now.

Your favourite artist or designer?

My mind is usually in the world of interiors so I love the work of Dorothy Draper, Kelly Wearstler and Billy Baldwin (the decorator not the actor). Artists I've gravitated towards recently include the hand woven pieces of Annie Legault and the paintings and paperwork of Emily Filler

Favourite spot in Toronto?

Riverdale Park East – At the top of the hill closer to Broadview Ave. It is the most spectacular view of the city. Great place to walk the dog or enjoy the vista with some takeout!

What are you most excited about for TOAF19?

Wandering around and seeing what moves me. It is rare to have so many different types of artistic expression and mediums in one place. Connecting with something new and meet the artist is a real joy.

If I could only bring one item with me to the Fair, it would be…

A full wallet would be my first response but a more practical/realistic answer would be my most comfortable shoes. Between the artist booth, walking tours and performances there is lots to do, which also means a long day on your feet!
