Yi Wang is a Toronto-based artist and metalsmith behind MorphiArtForge. Trained in architecture before turning to full-time art, she is drawn to balance, structure, nature, and quiet transformation.
Copper is at the heart of much of her work. She loves its warmth, its hardness and softness, its shifting colours, and the energy it carries through touch and time. Her recent pieces explore folded surfaces, floating panels, fine lines, shadows, and the quiet tension between weight and lightness.
Through sculptural metal forms and carefully considered details, Yi creates work that feels still, balanced, and quietly alive. Her pieces reflect adaptation, resilience, and the soft strength found in changing forms.
