Ting Yang is a cyanotype artist who uses sunlight to capture the beauty of nature through this historic photographic process. A former engineer with a deep connection to the natural world, Yang creates art that blends nature, memory, and storytelling. Influenced by traditional flower arrangement practices—including Chinese floral art and Japanese Ikebana, which she began studying in 2016—her work reflects the fragile beauty of plants while exploring themes of migration, nostalgia, and the bond between nature and personal identity.

Through each piece, Yang invites viewers to experience the healing stillness of nature, using cyanotype’s serene blue tones to evoke calm and introspection. Her work becomes a quiet meditation on the relationship between the outer world and inner life—an invitation to reconnect with the simple, enduring beauty of the natural world.
