Sherry Dube

I am a self-taught traditional artist specializing in acrylic paintings distinguished by their intricate detail and lifelike quality. I strive to capture the subtle interplay of light and shadow, as well as the rich spectrum of colors found in nature, on canvas. Although landscapes are my specialty, I also enjoy painting florals, birds, and a variety of animals. Drawing inspiration from the Ontario landscape, I dedicate ample time to photographing its scenery, flora, and fauna for reference in my art. My detailed style endeavors to encapsulate the colors, mood, and atmosphere of my subjects, providing viewers with a perpetual glimpse into the natural world.

I am a newly elected 2024 member of the Ontario Society of Artists and my work is found in many private collections across Canada.

I personally prepare all of my canvases by stretching them on custom keyed, professional stretcher bars. All of my canvas works are fully painted on the sides, coated with a removeable archival varnish and are ready to hang.
