Olivia Jaszczur
Olivia Jaszczur (b.2005) is a Polish-Canadian artist based in Guelph, Ontario, studying Studio Art at the University of Guelph. Working primarily in painting, her practice is rooted in the reconstruction of memory and inheritance. Olivia turns to her family archives, reimaging moments she did not live herself. From passed on stories, photo albums and fragments of memory, she attempts to fill in the missing information lost between generations, exploring themes of religion, politics, culture, family dynamics and identity. Olivia is currently represented by Fabhaus Gallery + Fare in Blyth, Ontario. In March 2025, she placed within the top 10 in the University of Guelph’s annual Juried Art Show, and participated in a group exhibition in the Zavitz Gallery. She also participated in the Art Gallery of Guelph’s Summer exhibition 155,578 and was published in the recent issue of Kaleidoscope magazine.
