Line St Jean
I am a multifaceted self-taught and intuitive artist resident of Quebec.
For over 15 years, I have also received several awards and accolades, and some of my works are in private collections in Québec, Ontario, USA, and France.
My pictorial language is inspired by the spirit of Wabi-Sabi, where beauty is perceived in irregularity, imperfection, organic movement, and the marks of time. My artisanal practice (textile printing and furniture patination) also influences the mediums I use.
Forms, textures, and atmosphere, poised between heaven and earth, and the nature of life with its multitude of invisible connections, are increasingly prominent in my work. From the smallest forms of life to the sometimes ethereal presence of our ancestors, I evoke the sacredness of what came before us.
Naive and unique studies and memoirs of life cycles.
There is just a brief look at my constantly evolving work. I will be present at TOAF with new paintings, miniature pieces, and works on paper.
Touching the essence of being is an endless personal and artistic journey.
Looking forward to meeting you
