Keenan O’Toole
Keenan O’Toole is a Toronto-based ceramic artist whose work explores the relationship between built structures, material memory, and spatial perception. This spring she received an MFA from Kent State University and holds a Bachelor of Craft and Design from Sheridan College, with additional studies at Alberta University of the Arts. Her work has been exhibited across Canada and the U.S., and she will join the Craft and Design Artist-in-Residence program at Harbourfront Centre this fall.
O’Toole uses traditional ceramic building methods to construct abstract sculptural forms that reinterpret hidden infrastructures—conduits, pipes, and networks—as tools for mapping memory and space. Her practice draws from digital and architectural systems, creating imaginary frameworks where structure and instability collide.
