Helen Tran

Helen Tran is a multidisciplinary artist based in Mississauga, Canada. Tran’s body of work incorporates printmaking methodology with an array of mixed media, ranging from analogue image-making, lithography, and linocut. Tran’s work draws on traditional family ceremonies and funerary rituals that utilize both print media and photography to convey elements of mourning, healing, and ancestral rituals. She is currently working on several linocut series of botanical imagery along with cyanotype processes. Her inspiration comes from nature, gardening, and childhood memories that embody personal narratives through her prints. She completed her BFA at OCAD University in Printmaking & Publication program.
