Booth 35
Youngman C works actively in Canada and Korea. In 2007 he produced his work My Silence in Toronto and went on to present it in Korea, drawing great attention. Beginning from the flat space, his work is transformed, as if to reflect his stream of consciousness, to cubic space. In this way, Youngman C presents new and unique works through a variety of media.Booth 35
To Youngman C, photography is painting. He passes the stage of collecting objects like a hunter. LOT is not something sentimental, or homesickness, but accumulated energy prior to transfiguration or transformation. His work is about the space that humans and ground have created altogether, individual time that flows separately or independently form other people’s.
“ I throw a ball into the space while I take the frame. By throwing the ball within the space, I create specific incident. Form that moment, I not only observe time, but write my own time. Hence I call it Chronography”
