Wendy Hutchinson

As an artisan, Wendy creates purposeful porcelain objects, guided by the complexity of simplicity. Functional ware and complementary vessels bring the art of function and beauty of form to everyday life. Based in Barrie, ON, she received 2017 residency grant funding from the Ontario Arts Council (an agency of the Ontario Gov't) to fulfill her core training at La Meridiana International School of Ceramics, Italy. She has since welcomed many opportunities to develop and share her practice, e.g. first-time exhibitor at both TOAF and the FUSION Clay & Glass Show in 2019. Her work has been commissioned for private collections & fundraising events, and has featured in advertising campaigns. As a proud member of Craft Ontario, her work is also available at the Craft Ontario Shop, Toronto.
