PEAR by Jacquie Blondin

The pear is a symbol of abundance, longevity, and fruitfulness. I created this work using sculptural modelling and ceramic techniques. The realism was maintained by observing a real pear in multiple perspectives and responding to the slight variations and asymmetry as I carved and modelled the form. The pear and its subtle details create a memorable object for any home décor.
