Tania Hillion

L'islet
Nathan Phillips Square
Booth 296
Tania Hillion is a French visual artist based in l’Islet, QC. Oil Portraits are her focal point of expression, addressing emotional states through the filter of perceptual memory.
Figure focused compositions combined with intuitive brush marks give her work an ethereal quality. Her subjects caught in their thoughts, convey a sense of motion. The narrative which mostly relies on body language is deeply rooted in emotions, opening a dialogue with the viewer.
Self-taught, she has been developing her practice since 2019.

The current series “Untangle” reflects one's inner struggles. My subjects, seeking for answers, express a tension between doubt and boldness. I paint feelings as a way to navigate my own psyche.

I am open to commissions, for any inquiry please contact me by email.
I will be attending the TOAF in person with a larger selection of my work (and large formats too) on July 15,16 & 17 in Nathan Phillips square. I hope to meet you there !
