Danielle Hyde - Dreaming While Awake

Mixed media painting in acrylic and aerosol colours of blues, greens and pinks is accented with high relief sculpture made of thermoplastic shaped like waves jetting out of the canvas. In the middle of the painting are a realistic set of eyes coming through a tree growing out of buildings etched along the bottom of the canvas. The painting has two separate layers of canvas placed one on top of the other. Cuts in the canvas peel back the top layer to reveal the painting underneath in reference to
