Sherry Dube is a self taught traditional artist who creates acrylic works with a highly detailed and realistic style. She loves learning how to express nature’s subtle nuances of light and shadow and its enormous array of colors onto canvas. Her specialty is landscapes but she also enjoys painting florals, birds and various animals. She spends a lot of time outdoors photographing the Ontario landscape, flora and fauna to use as reference material. One of her works, “A Glance Into the Past”, was recently chosen for the Ontario Society of Artists Emerging Artist Exhibition. Her wish is for viewers of her work to gain a new appreciation for the beautiful world we live in and to experience a sense of peace at the end of a long day. In her words, "The beauty I find in nature around me is what inspires my work, and my desire to preserve this vision is what motivates me to create". Her work is found in many private collections across Canada.
