Waiting for Tea

I love drawing teacups, looking at their delicate shapes, patterns and details as I work. These cups are from my family collection and I enjoy the memories and connection they provide.
The white linen ground is embroidered freely with thread using a basic domestic sewing machine as my drawing tool as I build up the textures, patterns and colours.
