Selfie serenade

Roisin Cadieux

I moved to Nova Scotia just before the pandemic and was delighted by the scenery and the bird life. The crows are particularly chatty and as we were all enjoying our own company I made this one so that he was singing to himself, to his reflection in the puddle. I based the landscape on the Annapolis valley and it’s rolling hills and growing fields by the Annapolis river. I restored the 19th century frame and built the framework for this piece to fit it exactly.
