Micheline Roi

Toronto
Nathan Phillips Square
Booth 127
My jewellery is an exploration of line and colour and how the intersection of these elements define form. Inspiration comes to me in many ways: wandering quiet, cool art galleries; watching the silhouettes of architecture roll by from the windows of a TTC streetcar; or immersing myself in the colours of Georgian Bay’s water. Clean lines and clear colours—even black!—are my elemental language and the simplicity and clarity they bring, open up a world of shape and form.

At the heart of my work is the desire to clearly express who I am, and it’s my mission to help others express their true selves. How we accessorize ourselves is how we tell the world who we are and what we represent. Clean lines and clear colours make me feel calm, joyous and unique, a feeling I hope collectors find in my work as well.
