Michaila Janowski

I am a full-time graphic designer. My medium is a computer screen. As much as I try to infuse a hand-made quality into my work, it doesn’t satisfy the need to create with my hands. That’s where my love of clay comes in. I love creating something from nothing and in my case, that nothing starts with a ball of clay. I start off my process by throwing on the wheel, and using hand building to finish off a piece. I mainly make planters because they are beautiful and functional.
