After a career in the corporate and consulting world, I began pursuing my interest in art, and more specifically in painting. I completed the Fine Arts program at Sheridan College, but am mostly self-taught as a painter. During my time at Sheridan, I selected oil as my medium of choice which has been the focused medium of my practice ever since. Booth 192
Inspired by the still life paintings of the 17th century Dutch Golden Age Masters and Hyperrealism, I create luminously detailed paintings of common objects. Though simple in composition and subject matter, the stillness and quietude of my still life works offer a deeper emotional experience than what initially, visually meets the eye.
I was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. My works have been exhibited in numerous art fairs, juried, group, and solo exhibitions. My paintings are held in private collections in Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia. I currently reside in Oakville, ON where I paint from my home studio.
