Yuna Zhang
Toronto
Nathan Phillips Square
Booth 22-23
Yuna is a third-year student of OCADU. She is exploring integrating traditional culture into contemporary jewellery design. She mostly employs Chinese culture and art in her designs, mainly using bamboo as a motif. Personal narratives and experiences also play a big role in the inspiration behind her pieces. In her design, the aesthetic is mainly expressed in the form of curves, including beadworks, spiral motifs, and rounded elements. Let the wearer and viewer feel the back story of the jewellery.
