Kiva-Marie Belt

I am a self-taught, emerging artist from rural Seafoam, Nova Scotia. I began to create artwork as a tool for cultivating my mental and emotional well-being, and creating beautiful things has since become my passion. An avid gardener and lover of all living things, my work is inspired by the sacred space of the natural world. Halos frequently appear in my work and reflect my reverence for and awe of all living things. The plants, insects, and birds that I find in my garden often end up in my artwork. Portraying them as icons is my way of showing devotion and love.
