Keith Eager
Toronto
Nathan Phillips Square
Booth 151
Keith practices storytelling through pictures, employing narrative drawing and painting techniques alongside contemporary painting concepts. More broadly, this practice includes genre painting, history painting, documentary painting, magic realism and disrupted realism. Booth 151
Keith’s current works are both auto-biographical reportage and response to current events, placing the work within our shared history. Increasingly, the paintings begin as collage, weaving together self generated and found images, changing shape as the painting is built up in successive layers.
Keith studied and earned a BFA in Printmaking at OCAD University. Keith was one of the 2020 Juror’s picks for TOAF 59, the inaugural Toronto Online Art Fair. His work has been featured in print and online by Artit Magazine and Now Magazine.
