Online OnlyMy professional life as an artist started after a three year Jewellery Arts Program at George Brown College in Toronto. I was fortunate to spend the 3 years after that as a Resident in the metal studio at Harbourfront Studios in Toronto. The rigourous training in jewellery making and design has informed my practice in other media. No matter if I'm creating in metal, clay or with paint on a canvas, the attention to detail, finishing, design and permanence all play a role. Over the past 6 years I've concentrated on ceramics and am a self taught hand builder. I use clay slab to construct functional table ware as well as decorative wall art, jewellery and small sculptures. My hands, mind and heart are the most important tools in my tool box. I feel incredibly happy when I'm in my studio or sharing my techniques with others.
