Made of Douglas Fir from BC, of historical importance because its a section from the first flag post at CNE, mid 1910's. They replaced the old post with a new one in early 2000 and I happened to be at the CNE, salvaged a six foot section from the dump. This piece has 157 rings and is approximately 350 years old. I wanted to pay tribute to this section of the log, the rest is gone forever. I have retained the old paint job, you can still see in the cracks. Please contact me for further questions.
