08 Seeing Me Through

This painting is from my Close Connections series. Here, I consider the many aspects of friendship, including understanding, equity, and inclusion. I remove many boundaries in this painting. The figures become filled vessels with shared colour. Other themes are sensitivity with strength and transience with permanence. I use delicate layers of watercolours, watercolour pencils, and various acrylics. This painting has a beautiful clear-coated wood shadow frame and is ready to hang.
