The scene is a joyful moment among close friends. I reference an experience of a genuine close connection between friends and record the fleeting moment to render it permanent. Here, I positively reframe the shadow and reduce barriers between the figures, increasing inclusiveness and equity. First, I plan, and then I let intuition guide me. Here, I use delicate layers of textured collage and mixed water media. This painting has a simple, quality wood shadow frame and is ready to hang.
