From the COVID Series: Please Refrain From Sharing

Even if we washed and sanitized our hands, in the early days the prevailing wisdom was that we were going to pass COVID-19 along to others through our spit, so sharing snacks at a bar or restaurant– even using the same ketchup bottle – was suddenly forbidden. In the end, once all the bars and restaurants were closed, none of those precautions mattered. There must have quite a surplus of pretzels for a while….
