This UK sculpture, in the negative art style, is part of my Island & Lakes series. Each piece of this size is a unique original and is numbered. I draw the contour of earth and water which is then cut from the steel creating an opening and a play of light and shadows on the wall behind the work. Each abstract painting by oxydation is inspired from the opening and the different patterns in the raw material I find.
