My sculptures are a response to life’s balance between control and freedom. Working with a structurally challenging medium, I utilize a visceral and intuitive process to work the stone into free forms, constantly testing my own understanding of structure, movement and flow as I perceptively feel for the stone’s ability to accept or reject my applications. Intrinsic to my artistic practice is the sculpture’s simplicity, diversity of shape and organic state. Through constant sensorial reactions, such as touch and sight, I curate an immersive experience for my viewers. My art training includes Toronto School of Art, Wilfrid Laurier University, Haliburton School of Arts and private studies. I continuously experience other media to expand my basis for creativity. In 2013, I was accepted into the Sculptors Society of Canada. I am also a member of Artists in Canada, Ukrainian Association of Visual Artists and Toronto West Arts Collaborative.
