Heather feels discussions of hyperinflation Germany focus on statistics and disregard the physicality of currency. The Papiermark was used by people during the post WWI inflation, and she believes the banknotes are objects with stories to tell. Through interacting with her pieces, Heather invites viewers to observe minute details and hopes Papiermarks can move beyond their statistical value.
