I’m excited to be part of the 61st TOAF.Booth 85
I’m based in Toronto where I studied, worked in the non-profit arts sector and now maintain my studio practice focused predominantly on oil painting. For a long time my artistic concern focused on the complexity of longing and nostalgia, even for things we flee, which I believe was connected to having arrived in Canada when I was young as part of an economic and political migration. Lately my work is about memory, exploration of seriality/multiplicity using the human figure, and work informed by my family history and personal experience with displacement. Most recently I had a solo show entitled (Re)Moved at the Red Head Gallery. Recent group shows include 'and all of a sudden' (Propeller) and Brave New World (Gallery 1313).
