Moon and candle in the wind

Dan Crawford

This is one in a series of paintings of the moon and objects.
The image of a candle is ubiquitous. Night time the candle offers
a flickering light, some warmth and creates an atmosphere.
Candles have meaning, used at an altar, vigils for others, time passing
with birthdays, a guide.
The moon reflects light and also represents many things and
holds significant importance for our world with tides, the seasons and gravity.
