I currently attend OCAD University and am in the Drawing and Painting program. In my work, I showcase people of colour in everyday events and fantasies, influenced by my bi-racial experiences growing up Persian and Black. In my pieces, I am also telling a story from a child progressing into adolescence, which will interconnect at times. In my practice, I enjoy painting the figure with value and depth. There is also a prominent cartoon influence. Overall, my works are self-portraits embodying and exploring my experiences.
