Anu Kalra has a BFA in Graphic Design from The College of Art, Delhi, India and studied at George Brown College. She worked as a graphic designer and Art Director for Discovery Magazine. She has a strong graphic influence in her work which is a reflection of her early training and experience. Humanity and colour are prominent. In her detailed brush work she brings attention to the attire and jewelry of the Mogul, Rajput, and Madhubani eras. The scenes in her paintings focus on women from centuries past, yet any woman of today could relate to them. The importance of these styles is central to who she is and where she originates from. In the past few years, she has held solo exhibitions and has exhibited at TOAF 2019, the juried Richmond Hill Art and Studio Tour, many Markham Arts Council Gala events, The Richmond Hill Creative Industries Symposium, R H Mill Pond Gallery, and The R H Cultural Summit and Visual Art Gallery. I am available for Face time, Skype, Watts App to show my Art.
