Ventral
Amber Ozols
Work is ready to hang
Work is inspired by Polyvagal Theory which proposes that the vagus nerve is key to our fight-flight-freeze response through its connection to the Parasympathetic Nervous System. There are two sides to this vagus nerve, the dorsal (back) and the ventral (front). *The Ventral Branch* activates the rest and digest response, lowering stress and returning our body to calm. The ventral (front) side of the vagus nerve responds to cues of safety in our environment + interactions!
