This newest body of paintings are entirely based in positive psychology and neuroscience research findings. Data that can objectively improve mood and quality of life. Based on newfound scientific research, I am creating oil paintings and illustrations that can visually improve human brain chemistry. This series of pieces that can act as Personal Protective Visuals (PPV) to keep us visually and mentally safe, not unlike the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that has been keeping us alive these last 2 years. I have been awarded grants from the Canadian Council for the Arts and the Ontario Arts Council to pursue this project and I've been devouring scientific texts about mental resiliency since September 2021.
