Alison Potter

I started working in theatre as a scenic painter 30 years ago, and had a great career working as a stagehand. Until Covid. Needing to find a way to manage the stress of an abrupt change I started painting again, only this time on paper and panel rather than scenery for the stage. I challenged myself to find interesting things around the house to paint, old things filled with sentiment, or sometimes just a jar of pickles.
