Alejandra Macouzet

Nathan Phillips Square
Booth 236
I’m Ale, a visual artist and Illustrator from Mexico, living in Toronto since 2018.
I believe that art should be for everyone to enjoy and connect with.
My work is down to earth but at the same time whimsical and playful; it talks about feelings, emotions, and experiences everyone can relate to. No need to make it complicated or snobby.
I enjoy working with a variety of materials and techniques; colors, textures, and layers define my work. I mostly combine digital illustration with collage, painting, and watercolor.
I believe it's necessary for everyone to connect with art from an early age, art can teach us how to deal with emotions, and how to express negative or positive feelings in a proactive way, that’s why I think everyone should be allowed and motivated to create.
If we learn to create then we will most likely stop destroying.
