BEAR SQUASHING VIRUS by Tanya Atkinson

Toronto Potters

Hand sculpted in black stoneware, hollowed, and finished with wax, the bear is squashing a "corona virus". To balance the bear’s 'standing' on one foot, the figure is mounted on a metal rod built into a concrete-filled, hand-built base box. The hollow "Virus”, hand sculpted in paper clay, is underglazed and fired multiple times. The concrete-filled box makes the sculpture heavy; thus, no shipping is available, only delivery and or/pick up. Contact the artist for delivery. www.art-at-home
