RELINQUISHED by Aneela Dias-D'Sousa

Toronto Potters

Taking visual inspiration from animal exoskeletons and the process of moulting, this body of my work explores the concepts of home, migration and memory. As an immigrant, space and time create distance from the idea of ‘home’. But the memories, much like the shells of exoskeletons, hold tremendous beauty.
‘Relinquished’ is a medium sized piece, hand built in stoneware clay. It is a 3 dimensional piece with a wood (wenge) base. Price includes HST
