Bruce Horak - The Ice Storm

Tangled Art + Disability

The work was created on Toronto Island at Artscape Gibraltar Point. It depicts trees along Lake Ontario in late winter. The waves from the lake had lapped up against the trees along the shore and frozen into sculptures of the twigs and branches. The trees are bare at the top and skirted in ice. The ice is painted with an iridescent medium catching the light at different angles. The sky behind is bright blue. The lake is turquoise. The painting is acrylic. It is stretched and ready to hang.
