Stephanie Singh

Mississauga
Stephanie Singh is a Toronto-based interdisciplinary textile designer. She currently is in her graduate studies at OCADU in the Master’s of interdisciplinary arts, media and design. With a formal background in textiles from Sheridan College, she focuses on sustainable practices of plant materials. Stephanie’s love of sustainable craft enables a profound appreciation for mother earth as the original artist and designer. Her exploration through sustainable alternatives connects pattern, colour and texture in a design while maintaining a conscious design aesthetic.

“ I'm going to make everything around me beautiful, if it not alive, I will make it beautiful, that will be my life. I have always had an urge to create and explore new crafts and materials and I completely fell in love with the raw material. I love working with paper by creating textures and shaping my own organic form language. The paper is my way of telling stories of our beautiful surroundings.”
