Conversations in the Tulips

Saskia Wassing

This embroidery is inspired by drawings of my copper kettle filled with lovely tulips in the spring. I imagined fanciful birds chatting away amongst the flowers. The composition is a celebration of the rituals we share with family and friends, and the memories connected to and intertwined with the people, places and things we cherish.
