Nesting Kereru

Saskia Wassing

This fanciful embroidery is inspired by a wonderfully patterned and colourful teapot drawn while visiting the Gardiner Museum. It became a special spot for the Kereru looking for somewhere to nest
This work is created using appliqué silks that are then richly embroidered using free motion stitching on my basic domestic sewing machine. Framed and ready to hang.
