Sandra Lambert

Toronto
Sandra Lambert is an abstract artist whose work ranges from the gestural to the figurative, and is characterized by organic shapes, layered textures and intense color. Her paintings and collages are intuitive explorations of the tension between expressiveness and restraint.

In this series, called Pink Territory, she is playing with various shades of pink.

Why pink? As Sandra describes it, "During the pandemic I was drawn to pink and wanted to surround myself with this soothing colour. Then I read an article in a science magazine that claimed, startlingly, that pink doesn't exist! But, I thought, if violence, disease and economic woes are real, then why not tenderness, sweetness, sensuousness?"

Sandra invites you to explore the paintings of Pink Territory and find respite in this 'trick of the eye'!
