This early drawing is another self portrait, where the context symbolized by the background is both inconsequential and not. The intensity with which the weaver is working on her craft and the detailing of the figure makes the background relevant, it softens the drawing. This is one of my favourite works and whom ever shall have it will want to keep looking at it.
