People of the Cradle #2

Parveen Dhatt

This work is glued onto muslin and then mounted onto canvas, the worn, distressed and stained look is meant to replicate a graffiti wall. It is symbolic of the destruction of the traditional way of life, and the dwindling numbers of ethnic tribes within African nations. The use of Amazon detritus is intentional, I doubt the company has left even the most remote locations without delivery service.
