Turning Inward

Morgan Booth

In my work, I use the depiction of the figure to invite contemplation of the self, and colour to elicit an emotional and physiological response. Here the figure is seen with a serene expression meant to call to mind the practice of meditation, and “Turning Inward”. With the current state of the world and the seemingly unrelenting uncertainty, fear and isolation we must cultivate places of refuge and calm within ourselves.

This piece is finished with a protective gloss varnish.
